Essence de Lavandin is the pure oil steam-extracted from the fresh flowers of Lavandin.
Comprising the majority of French lavender production, Lavandin is a cross between English (L. angustifolia)
and spike lavender (L. latifolia). More pungent in aroma than English lavender, it is the aroma of sunny
Provence, used in cleaning products, furniture waxes, air fresheners, moth repellents, and personal care
products. A tablespoon in a hot bath can infuse a whole house with its refreshing and invigorating smell
while relieving stress and muscle aches or easing respiration during a cold. It is non-toxic, non-irritant,
and non-sensitizing. “Grosso” and “Provence” are the most popular varieties.
